Proposal Writing for Nonprofit Organizations

This three-day workshop is geared for staff and professionals in the nonprofit sector who wish to develop a strategic plan for external funding, understand the diversity of the foundation world and cultivate ongoing relationships that lead to continued funding.  Designed with the non-profit grant writer in mind, participants will learn to navigate the foundation search and application process.

The interactive sessions will focus on the:
Diversity, scope and funding available in foundations around the world
Characteristics of independent, company sponsored, operating and community foundations
Effective approaches to writing for various types of foundations
Application and review process

In addition, the workshop will explore the best practices of researching and matching the mission and needs of your organization with those of the funding agency, writing effective inquiry letters and composing every aspect of the successful proposal.  Navigating the foundation search and application process can be a creative and rewarding experience that can lead to continuous success for the projects that make a difference for those that the nonprofit world serves.
