This two day comprehensive seminar is geared for those who wish to submit winning research proposals to the National Institutes of Health. It is taught by experienced grant writers and evaluators who are physicians.

Participants during day one will learn:

  • Anatomy of a Grant: Common Pitfalls & How to Avoid Them
  • Building an Airtight Case for Funding
  • Address the Pieces of the Request for Proposal
  • Compose the Pieces of a Research Grant Proposal
  • Package the Proposal in the Requested Format
  • Understand the New Scoring System and the Review Process
  • Learn What actually Happens in the Study Section
  • Identify How to Search for the Appropriate Study Sections For Submissions
  • Parsing Pink Sheets: The Inevitable Resubmission

Participants during day two will:

  • Understand how the NIH review works
  • Participate in mock-panels
  • Review and dissect an actual winning proposal
  • Discuss their specific proposals with other participants or with the instructor
  • Have one-on-one sessions with faculty teaching the course

A discount of $25.00 per person will be given if more than one person registers from the same organization.
